You might represent the company you are currently working for as an employee, or your relationship to them might be that of an independent contractor.

A lot of people in Ontario, Canada, who have a career in real estate but whose focus seems to have shifted elsewhere - or are not as actively involved - might not even realize that they have available options to help aid them with this particular scenario. Because they aren't aware of these options, they will continue to endure the high costs associated with their current broker, even though the amount of money they are making has reduced quite dramatically. If you haven't yet, consider keeping your license active by parking it with an Ontario real estate license holding company.

So what would entice a real estate agent to want to park their license? It seems that one of the more common reasons that come up have to do with pertaining to a change in labor or work. Let's say, for example, that the career or job opportunity comes knocking on an agents door, so to speak, that they've wanted for a very long time and the pay is good too. What next? Do they take advantage of this opportunity and go after the job? Also, if this is the decision that's made, what then becomes of their realty license? Hopefully not letting it terminate, especially knowing the steps taken needed to acquire this valuable asset in the first place. There are a lot of real estate agents - in fact hundreds in Ontario - that are saving a ton of money because they decided to take action in parking their realty license.
